France – Further Moves by Government to Combat Fraud and Evasion 

Fidal Direction Internationale in France reports on a government-issued circular dated June 21, 2013 (“the Circular”) that details the conditions governing the voluntary disclosure by taxpayers of undeclared financial assets held abroad. Failure to report foreign bank accounts or life insurance policies is punishable by fines and other penalties. The Circular sets out precisely how voluntary disclosure cases will be handled.
