France – New Decree Clarifies Trustees Reporting Obligations 

FIDAL Direction Internationale in France reports that a long-awaited decree was published that clarifies the obligation placed on trust administrators (i.e., trustees) to disclose information on trusts where such trusts have a “French connection.”  This is one of the many recent measures designed to reinforce France’s fight against tax evasion and improve the collection of tax information.  There may be challenges for nonresident trustees in complying with the provisions, given the timeframe mandated.
