Denmark –Tax Legislation Passed with Major Impact for Individuals 

KPMG in Denmark reports that new tax legislation has been passed that could have a significant impact on the taxation of individuals subject to Danish taxation.  Some of the important measures discussed in this newsletter include an increase in the top tax threshold, a rise in the employment allowance, and the removal of the relief for employment income during a stay abroad of at least 6 months.  Many of the measures raise individuals’ tax burdens, which may increase employers’ international assignment costs.
