Challenges facing advisers to commodity pools 

The final rules released by the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) include new, or amended, requirements for commodity pools. Further, Dodd Frank Act mandates to include “swaps” under the definition of a commodity pool. This presents additional challenges for commodity pools’ advisers. The release of a series of final rules by the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) includes new, or amended, requirements that present challenges for advisers to commodity pools, a population which will increase significantly as a result of the Dodd Frank Act’s addition of “swaps” to the definition of a commodity pool.
