Financial Services

KPMG’s Financial Services offers real scope for challenge and a fantastic opportunity for motivated, driven people to be part of the team servicing many of South Africa’s major financial service institutions. When you join the team, you’ll help provide services to financial services clients in audit, regulatory and advisory areas.



Our Banking and Insurance units are among the industry leaders. The funds audit area services a large number of retirement funds and medical aids.



Regulatory Advisory and Compliance Services (RACS) advise clients on regulatory issues and offer services and training in the regulatory arena.



Financial Risk Management (FRM) is our Advisory unit providing specialist services to the sector. FRM leverages off the group’s knowledge and experience of the market. The Investment Advisory area adds value to clients with various services, including financial models and valuations, in addition to various ad-hoc assignments.

Industrial Markets

As a part of the Industrial and Automotive business unit, you would be addressing the specific audit needs within primarily the industrial holdings, engineering and automotive sectors.

The scope of products provided by this team to clients has subsequently expanded to include transaction services, due diligence investigations for proposed acquisitions and consulting support covering a wide range of business issues.

The main focus of the business unit’s activities is the provision of attestation services. In this regard, your client base would be varied, ranging from diverse conglomerates with interests in numerous market sectors through to local branches and subsidiaries of multinational corporations.


Technology, Media & Telecommunications

The Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector has experienced significant change in the last few years. We’re looking for driven, motivated people to work alongside our clients, helping them to adapt to technology advances and consolidation in the industry.

You should have the ability to offer progressive and forward-thinking strategies to meet our clients’ business needs. You’ll need to focus on developing a client’s essential business skills – skills which will both challenge you and help them to deliver a more creative and effective approach to business.

The Infrastructure and Government

As part of the challenging Infrastructure and Government business unit, you would provide services to all spheres of government. This includes institutions responsible for building or maintaining infrastructure, providing healthcare, education and transportation, as well as institutions substantially dependant on government or donor funding.

Your skills combined with KPMG’s extensive experience with entities operating in the Infrastructure and Government framework ensures that we can provide services that meet the needs of government.

You will have various tools and methodologies at your disposal to help establish accountability and get results, which, in turn, enable government to better meet constituent and customer demands by deploying resources to their best effect.


Owner Managed Business (OMB)

As part of this team, you would offer an integrated and quality service, whatever the client’s needs, big or small, in whatever sector of business, from commerce to industry and the financial world.

Responsibilities would range from co-ordinating their tax affairs to planning, monitoring and organising their businesses to operate more efficiently.

You would be exposed to many companies ranging from large public companies to small owner-managed businesses.


Some of the services provided by OMB include minute-keeping, maintenance of statutory records as well as the registration of close corporations and companies.
