KPMG’s Internal Audit trainee position offers an exciting and stimulating experience, equipping graduates with a unique blend of skills in Internal Audit, Risk Management, and business acumen. During the initial three-year training contract, colleagues receive a mix of formal training and practical on-the-job experience to enhance their skill set. This program is designed to assist graduates in achieving their goal of becoming certified Internal Auditors. Additionally, our mentoring program ensures that all staff members receive continuous career counseling and avenues for feedback.

Qualifications:

  • B.Com Internal Audit Honours (with a minimum 60% overall average)

Our national Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance Services practice offers strategic sourcing of Internal Audit; Enterprise Risk Management; Governance; Regulatory Compliance; Contract Compliance; and Sustainability services.

This opportunity focuses on Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance Services, involving the delivery of Compliance and Governance solutions to our clients.

We currently have a vacancy for a graduate training contract spanning three years within our JHB office. The selected candidate will support the Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance team by delivering Compliance and Governance solutions to clients across various industries. This role also involves providing clients with valuable consulting services, while enhancing KPMG's reputation in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Basic responsibilities related to Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance, including research, development, and updating of Regulatory Universe, Compliance Risk Management Plans, and contractual/policy reviews.
  • On-the-job training and content capacity-building will be provided.
  • Assistance with a wide range of activities, including business development and proposal preparation.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):

  • LL.B (Bachelor of Laws)
  • Potentially, other Law degrees (such as B.Com Law or similar)
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Creativity
