India – Data Sharing, New Certificate of Coverage Application for International Workers 

Recently, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) of India issued two circulars intended to clarify compliance related to the Employees’ Provident Funds Scheme, 1952 (EPFS) and Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 (EPS) in respect of International Workers. Among other things, this newsletter reports that EPFO has revised the certificate of coverage application form and has clarified matters related to the entitlement by an outbound employee to a certificate of coverage and the Provident Fund contributions that must be made when an employee is designated an “International Worker.”
