United States – FBAR Deadline for Certain Individuals Extended for 4th Time

The U.S. has provided a fourth extension with respect to the date for filing the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) for those employees and officers of specified regulated entities — including U.S. publicly traded companies and financial institutions — who have only signature authority over, but no financial interest in, certain foreign financial accounts. The new filing date for such individuals is June 30, 2015. All other U.S. persons required to file an FBAR this year (to report foreign financial accounts for calendar year 2013) are required to meet the June 30, 2014 filing date.
