Malaysia – New Budget Lowers Some Rates, Encourages Education

KPMG in Malaysia reports that the 2013 budget proposals were presented by the government on September 28, 2012. Other measures modify: the tax treatment of lump-sum gratuities offered to employees upon retirement or cessation of employment; the time bar period for assessments; and real property gains taxation.
