Cayman Islands – New Payroll Tax Proposed Would Hit Expatriate Employees 

KPMG in the Cayman Islands reports that the government announced on July 25 plans to introduce a “community enhancement fee,” a payroll tax on expatriate employees.  The plan calls for implementing the payroll tax before the end of August; although, the measure, which is contained in the government’s budget proposals, must first be reviewed and approved by the U.K. government.
