KPMG’s Family for Literacy Celebrates Five Years with a Reading Relay

2013 marks the fifth anniversary of this program. To celebrate that, the firm created the KFFL “First Five” children’s collection. It’s made up of five classic children’s books that were selected by asking partners and employees to vote. A collection of the five books will be donated on behalf of everyone at KPMG this fall during a “Reading Relay” which will have coast to coast reading events and book distributions over the course of six weeks.

Overview of KPMG’s Family for Literacy

At KPMG LLP, we are focused on serving children at every stage of their academic career through our corporate citizenship programs. Knowing that strong reading skills are the basis for future success, and understanding that the toughest roadblock to children’s literacy in low-income communities is a lack of books, in 2008 we established KPMG’s Family for Literacy (KFFL) to combat childhood illiteracy. Managed in collaboration with First Book, KFFL provides new books to children from low income families.
