What we do

KPMG dominates the housing association external audit market and delivers a range of other audit and assurance services including internal audit, cost reduction and value for money assessments, governance reviews, development scheme appraisals and advice on business transformation and process improvement.


We have a substantial tax and pensions practice with direct and indirect tax, employment tax and pensions clients in the sector. KPMG is tax policy adviser to the National Housing Federation. KPMG’s pensions practice offers a unique perspective for the housing sector. It has both a strong investment advisory team (working with funds) and an established reputation for advising employers and trustees.


The housing corporate finance team has been involved, in some capacity, in almost all of the UK housing public private partnership transactions over the last ten years, advising on 24 PFI/PPP deals as well as strategic divestments. The delivery methodology for joint venture projects continues to evolve and the team is currently mandated to advise both local authorities and bid consortia on innovative new structures.
