KPMG International today announced that John B. Veihmeyer has been selected by its board of directors as KPMG’s next Global Chairman, to succeed Michael Andrew who is retiring after serving as Global Chairman since May 2011.



2013 Love‧Fair

On June 14, KPMG in Taiwan and Taipei 101 worked together for the first time to hold the charity bazaar called the “Love‧Fair”. Taipei City Government Commissioner Yeh-Shin Chen from Department of Labor also attended the event as witness guest. The Chairman of Taipei 101, Christina Sung, CEO of KPMG in Taiwan, Winston Yu, and Chairman of Chensenmei Social Welfare Foundation, Mrs. Hsieh Hsiu-Chin also attended the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech. The bazaar attracted approximately 1,000 customers and 101 Building tenants. We are excited to announce that the total sales have reached over one million TWD that day.

 

KPMG in Taiwan was awarded number 1 among Big 4 in 2012 for outstanding IPO application submissions

Taiwan Stock Exchange Corp.(TSEC)held its annual “2012 Listing Intermediaries Ceremony” on 28th of January, 2013. For strengthening the communications between listing intermediaries and TSEC, the ceremony awards underwriters, CPA firms, and law firms for servicing companies listing in Taiwan.

2012 KPMG and Clients Held a Donation Event

KPMG in Taiwan and fifteen clients held a charity drive on 21 December to donate computers to 70 Aboriginal Digital Opportunity Centers and non-profit organizations. Partners and staff of KPMG in Taiwan also supported 6 elementary schools in remote areas with 733 children’s Christmas gifts.

2012 KPMG Corporate Volunteer Day

Since 2008, “KPMG Corporate Volunteer Day” has been held annually. With the joint efforts of the Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung branches, more than 2,000 members have engaged in public service, accumulating more than 5,000 hours of service to over 9,000 disadvantaged people.

In the annual ‘World Most Attractive Employers’ Universum survey rankings, over 75,000 business students from the world’s top academic institutions have given KPMG the number two spot for the third year in a row.

The 7th KPMG Scholarship Award in Taiwan

In 2006, KPMG and the Finance and Economics Research and Education Foundation started to provide scholarships for excellent or less fortunate accounting students.

KPMG in Taiwan held the fourth KPMG Corporate Volunteer Day on November 25. Around 1,750 people joined to provide services to 59 non-profit organizations.

KPMG in Taiwan signed a 10-year “green” lease with Taipei 101

KPMG in Taiwan signed a 10-year “green” lease with Taipei 101 this November. Taipei 101, the world’s tallest office building and the tallest green landmark in Taiwan introduced the nation’s first ‘green’ lease to promote environmental protection and sustainability.

The Employment Contribution Award 2010 in Taiwan

KPMG in Taiwan is proud to announce we are recognized well-performed in employment contribution by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. We got「the Employment Contribution Award」this year and the Chairman-Andrew Yu was invited by Office of the President and the Executive Yuan to be the representative of KPMG in Taiwan to attend the prize-giving ceremony and got the Award conferred by President Ma Ying-jeou and Premier WU Den-yih in person on November 30, 2010.

Business students rank KPMG second among "World's Most Attractive Employers"
