      1. What are the benefits of participating in Gen2050’s structured accelerated programme (Track A)?

Track A is your gateway to an inspiring journey of growth and impact. You’ll connect with mentors from KPMG in Singapore, the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS) and the National Youth Council (NYC), as well as other industry leaders, gaining valuable insights and guidance to shape your future.

Through the programme, you’ll develop essential skills like proposal writing, stakeholder engagement and project pitching—tools that will empower you to lead meaningful change in your community and beyond.

Upon completing Track A, you’ll receive a certificate of participation, jointly awarded by NYC, KPMG, and IPRS—a recognition of your commitment to making a difference.

Outstanding participants may also be selected for national leadership programmes or invited to exclusive learning events hosted by the Gen2050 organisers. This is your chance to grow, lead and make an impact.

      2. What will participants learn in Track A?

Participants will complete the following modules:

      • Identifying problem statements: Youths will learn to define pressing social issues, determine their scope, and conduct landscape analyses to uncover challenges and opportunities.

      • Creating proposals for social change: Based on these problem statements, youths will be encouraged to develop ground-up projects to further Singapore’s agenda on social sustainability. They will receive training on how to set measurable targets to determine the effectiveness of potential solutions, in areas such as commercial viability and social impact.

      • Effective stakeholder management: Participants will learn to identify key stakeholders, understand their concerns and expectations, and engender trust and rapport to build strong relationships.

      • The art of compelling pitch: Youths will develop persuasive narratives to gain traction for implementation. This module includes a practicum, where teams can receive up to S$5,000 in funding from NYC and pitch their ideas to industry partners for potential piloting and commercialisation. Outstanding projects may progress further with industry partnerships, facilitated collectively by NYC, KPMG, and IPRS.

      3. How will participants be selected for Track A?

We’re looking for passionate youths who are eager to create a more sustainable future. Selection will be based on your community involvement, leadership experience and overall track record, including academic achievements.

To apply, complete the registration form and submit a 150–200 word write-up showcasing your passion for social sustainability. Highlight the topics that inspire you most and share how you want to make a difference.

If you’re not selected for Track A, don’t worry—you can still join Track B, which is open to all youths.

      4. When will the modules in Track A be conducted?

The four modules will take place between September 2025 and February 2026, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in this transformative experience.

      5. Do participants have to attend all four modules?

Yes, attendance for all four modules is essential, as each session builds on the last. However, we understand that unexpected situations may arise. If you’re unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances, please inform the organisers in advance.

If you miss a module, you’ll be expected to catch up on the content independently and coordinate with your project teammates to stay on track.

      6. How will teams be formed?

Participants will be grouped with peers who have similar interests in social sustainability topics, to form teams of five.

      7. How will teams be selected to receive funding for their social sustainability projects?

A panel of judges, including industry experts and Gen2050 representatives, will evaluate projects based on pre-determined criteria, which will be shared with participants.

Selected teams will receive up to S$5,000 in funding from NYC to bring their ideas to life. Projects that demonstrate strong potential for success and are attractive to partnering organisations will be matched with suitable partners to pilot their initiatives, enabling participants to see their ideas make a tangible impact.
