KPMG’s global revenue touches US$36b; aggregate revenue in the MESAC region grows by 22.4% (in local currency)

KPMG Middle East, South Asia, and Caspian (MESAC) region witnessed double-digit growth across all 3 core functions of Audit, Tax and Advisory; renewed focus on talent, technology, and environment, social and governance (ESG).

Key highlights:

  • Robust Growth: The MESAC region celebrated a significant milestone with aggregate revenue growing by 22.4% in FY23. This growth reflects the region's ability to adapt, innovate, and lead in a dynamic economic landscape. 
  • Balanced Excellence: All three core functions—Audit, Tax, and Advisory—experienced double-digit growth. Notably, Advisory services surged, reflecting an increase of over 30% from the previous year, driven by the demand for high-value, transformative business guidance.
  • Expanding Talent Pool: More than 4,200 professionals, including 78 partners and directors, were welcomed to the KPMG MESAC family. As of 30 September 2023, the region boasts a talent pool exceeding 11,400 individuals, a testament to KPMG's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Strengthened Capabilities: Investments in key areas such as digital, AI, project finance, and deal advisory have significantly enhanced our service delivery and client solutions.

In a year marked by economic and geopolitical challenges, KPMG in Qatar has played a pivotal role in contributing to the remarkable growth of the Middle East, South Asia, and Caspian (MESAC) region. The global revenue of KPMG firms touched US$36 billion, with the MESAC region making significant strides, posting a 22.4% growth in aggregate revenue for the fiscal year ending 30 September 2023 (FY23).

This growth story extends across all three core functions - Audit, Tax, and Advisory - with Advisory revenue experiencing an exceptional increase of more than 30% over the previous year.

The success of the MESAC region can be attributed not only to impressive financial growth but also to the substantial growth in its talent pool. Over 4,200 professionals, including 78 partners and directors, joined KPMG MESAC, elevating the total talent pool to more than 11,400 individuals as of September 30, 2023.

Further strengthening its capabilities, KPMG MESAC made strategic senior hires in vital areas such as digital and AI, project finance, deal advisory, managed services, forensic, dispute advisory, and transfer pricing. Additionally, alliances in the technology sector, delivery networks, and regional corridors have fortified resource mobilization and delivery capabilities.
