In December 1910 the Zürcher Treuhand-Vereinigung was established. This organization evolved into a globally operating business that now employs more than 1,600 people from 41 nations.

KPMG Founders


Piet Klynveld founded Klynveld Kraayenhof & Co. in Amsterdam in 1917.

William Barclay Peat founded William Barclay Peat & Co. in London in 1870.

James Marwick founded Marwick, Mitchell & Co. with Roger Mitchell in New York City in 1897.

Dr. Reinhard Goerdeler played a significant role in the founding of Klynveld Main Goerdeler, Amsterdam, 1979.
