Antidumping duty investigation - Steel threaded rod from India, Thailand 

July 1:  A petition filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission and Department of Commerce alleges that steel threaded rod from Thailand and India is being sold in the United States at less than fair value and that steel threaded rod from India is being unfairly subsidized.

Steel threaded rod is generally used in commercial or industrial construction and primarily falls under HTSUS subheadings 7318.15.5051, 7318.15.5056, 7318.15.5090 and 7318.15.2095.

The petition requested that antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CVD) duties be imposed upon the steel threaded rod from India at rates ranging from 23.6% - 129.6% and that AD duties be imposed upon subject merchandise from Thailand at rates ranging from 65% - 77% (in addition to normal customs duties).
