United States – Immigration-Related Procedures for Inbound Employees Affected by Government Shut-down 

KPMG Law LLP in Canada reports on the various activities and functions in the United States related to immigration and employment processing that are impacted by the U.S. federal government shut-down. Such matters concern, for example: suspended application processing by the Office of Foreign Labor Certification; delays in U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services adjudications; closure of the Customs & Border Patrol Info Center; unavailability of the E-Verify service; and no new or replacement Social Security cards.
