Why the MESA region?

KPMG has strong, successful member firms across the region, serving national and international clients. There may not be another region where you can work with so many different clients or experience such diversity both at work and in your social life.
Why the MESA region?

With dynamic economies throughout the MESA region, you can be sure to be exposed to rapid growth and greater responsibilities, sometimes even more than you can anticipate, as many professionals have found.

Governments in the region are becoming more interested in privatizing national industries, or opening up stock markets to non-locals, and seeking solutions for professional growth. Other opportunities are arising from banks which are not BASEL II compliant, and increasing IPOs. Sovereign wealth funds are increasing in size and making significant investments in iconic brands across Europe and North America, and this too opens up tremendous opportunities for KPMG to provide Advisory services.

All this presents great opportunities for developing practices, and enhancing your own career, and if you decide to leave the region after your 2-3 year relocation, you will go back to your home country a more skilled and globally-minded professional, and with first-hand experience of another culture.

"A stint abroad enriches your life. The greatest value is that you come back more mature and worldly. Your whole horizon expands." - Reyaz Mihular, Partner, Colombo, Sri Lanka

KPMG firms need both specialists and all-rounders, depending on the country. In this working environment there is a lot of client interaction. Relationships are key, so good people skills are essential – and so is the ability to deal with different nationalities.

The main requirement in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and UAE is Arabic language skill. Across the region there is a particular need for seconded resources at Senior Manager level and above.

In KPMG’s MESA region you can experience the dynamism of emerging markets and economies, live and work alongside highly talented professionals of all nationalities and live to a very good standard. It makes sense professionally, personally and economically to work here.

"There’s no doubt that working in an emerging market poses significant benefits from a personal growth and development perspective." - Karl Hendricks, Partner, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
