Unlocking the power of Big Data

The results of the 33rd C-Suite survey [PDF 413Kb] reveal cost, limited time and lack of understanding as three of the top perceived concerns for Canadian companies when it comes to adopting a data and analytics strategy.

These apparent concerns help explain why only one in five executives plans to implement a big data strategy and why only one in four is very or somewhat likely to do so in the future. However, given the recent advances in data and analytics technology, these findings point to a limited recognition of the true value that data can deliver, specifically when it comes to impacting the bottom line.

This survey, sponsored by KPMG, is conducted by the Gandalf Group, and published and broadcast by The Globe and Mail and BNN. Executives were also asked to comment on the proposed CETA/free trade in Europe, and female representation on Boards and C-suite.
