On 26 May 2016, the Government passed Resolution 41/NQ-CP providing measures on tax incentives to develop the information technology industry of Vietnam. By Resolution 41, companies with income derived from projects related to the IT industry shall be entitled to the tax incentive measures as follows:

Investment Policy”, with the Minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyen Chi Dung, as the keynote speaker. “The Dialogue on 2016 Investment Policy seminar was held at the right time, when the Government is trying to complete and promulgate several new policies and resolutions, as well as implement Resolutions No. 19 and No. 35 on administraion reform, improving the business enviroment for investment and business support.”, the Minister said.

In Da Nang City, on 21 April 2016, KPMG Vietnam and Danang Investment Promotion Center entered into a MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (“MOU”) on promoting investment in Danang City, Vietnam. This MOU will facilitate the mutual sharing of best practices, expertise and knowledge of both parties in providing supports and services to investors as well as promoting investment in Danang City.

New measures on tax incentives for the information technology industry

The new guidance provides provisions concerning: CIT, VAT, PIT, and FCT.
The policy on CIT incentives for income from processing of agricultural and fishery produce will be implemented.
