The team provides audit, tax and advisory services to organisations from dynamic start-ups and entrepreneurial businesses to some of the biggest global brands, with a particular focus on the Thames Valley's thriving information technology and communications sectors.

KPMG was formed in 1987 with the merger of Peat Marwick International (PMI) and Klynveld Main Goerdeler (KMG) and their individual member firms.

These members firms had a presence in Reading when the office opened in 1976 to provide locally-based advisers for the growing number of clients in the Thames Valley, and is now based just outside the town at Arlington Business Park, which is home to a number of the region's leading companies.

One of its particular strengths is its 25-strong transactions team which have worked on much of the region's top M&A activity in recent years.

The Reading team is led by senior partner Andrew Morgan, who joined the firm in 1988. Andrew is active in the local business community and advises a wide range of businesses in the Thames Valley area, from start ups to FTSE 100 companies.
