KPMG's first nationwide Project Management Survey in 2010 remains the most comprehensive survey of its type in the New Zealand marketplace.
We're excited at the opportunity to build on the lessons learned from our last survey, and are firmly committed to sharing our own knowledge and experience with the wider business and IT community.
Those who complete the survey will be sent a formal summary of results and conclusions, and invited to presentations of the results hosted by KPMG's Project Advisory Services. Results published from the survey will not be attributed to any organisation or individual.

Building on our 2010 findings
Our second survey will build on our 2010 findings. We'll gain an even better understanding of the way in which good practices are being used to improve project outcomes and what makes for successful governance.
Key findings from our 2010 survey demonstrated key ‘good practices’. Organisations experienced higher levels of project success if they:
- used a Project Management Office
- used risk management methodology
- took a programme/portfolio view and implemented Business Cases / benefit-tracking.
The survey also identifies the potential to improve governance in these areas.
