I am passionately engaged in KPMG’s focus on fuelling New Zealand’s prosperity and the need for New Zealand to regain its position as a competitive, high wealth country.
During my career I have witnessed some negative change in New Zealand’s global ranking for productivity and economic performance but I’m absolutely convinced NZ is a fantastic place to build high performing private and public sector enterprises.
I am inspired by the many dynamic enterprises I have worked with in New Zealand and I keenly believe that enterprises with the right attitude and ambition, and with the right interventions to address challenges and constraints, can and do proposer. I take pride in helping to make this happen.
I am a Performance Consulting specialist with a proven track record at Board, CEO and executive level and have been trusted as an advisor to respond to the critical and complex challenges that constrain organization performance.
My education includes B.Com, Ag Economics and Marketing at Lincoln University, Advanced Management Programme at The University of Western Ontario, and Darden Business School Executive Programme and training as a Six Sigma Blackbelt.
I have delivered Performance Consulting Engagements in agri-business, consumer & industrial Products, financial services, infrastructure, government and health sectors. Leading improvement initiatives for Fonterra, Turners & Growers, Carter Holt Harvey, PostiePlus, The Warehouse, Tower Insurance, Westpac, Meridian Energy, Powerco, Tertiary Education, Ministry of Health, Auckland District Health Board, Watercare Services, Auckland Regional Transport and private enterprises to deliver sustainable benefits.
My extensive agri-business experience includes leading Performance Consulting initiatives in the Dairy, Meat, Horticulture, Seafood and Food Processing sectors.
I lead an experienced performance consulting team in Auckland with deep capability and access to a global network capable of addressing Strategy Direction & Strategy Deployment, Customer Growth & Profitability, Productivity, Transformation, People and Change issues and challenges.
Prior to joining KPMG my career included leading Grant Thornton’s Business Transformation practice as partner and 14 years with Arthur Andersen and Ernst Young as a senior manager and principle in the Performance Improvement Management practice.
My partner, Maury, is a senior executive with Fonterra and together we have a blended team of five talented children. We are active “multisport weekend warriors” in the spare time we have left after family and work commitments.
