KITE serves as a comprehensive repository of telecommunication knowledge with practical insights rendering a strong foundation for beginners or aspirants in the area of telecommunication. The training program offers comprehensive knowledge base for basics of telecommunications across varied technologies and revenue streams. KITE simplifies terminologies for beginners and illustrates principles of operational and revenue models, which are essential for developing a holistic understanding of the telecommunication sector.

Course

KITE is a Computer Based Training (CBT) program designed for professionals and aspirants in the area of telecommunication. KITE training program builds basic knowledge of the end-to-end telecommunications value chain encompassing revenue processes and business operations. Registrants would be able to obtain conceptual clarity both from a technical and business perspective.

 

The KITE program structure covers 10 modules, divided into three major categories, each covering multiple topics. It offers flexibility to undertake modules in parts. Your knowledge of the content will be tested through an assessment review at the end of the program.

Course completion

Program Certification
On successful completion of the training program and the assessment test, individuals will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Completion’ by KPMG in India. These certificates will be categorized into 4 categories as depicted below:

    • Introduction to telecommunications - Basic introduction to telecommunications including evolution, key terminologies, types of networks and types of telecom technologies
    • Fixed Line Network - Key terminologies, Fixed Line Network elements and call flows
    • GSM - Key terminologies, GSM network elements and call flows
    • GPRS - Key terminologies, GPRS network elements and call flows.
  • Telecommunications revenue streams
    • Postpaid - Key terminologies, postpaid network elements, network configuration and call flows
    • Prepaid - Key terminologies, prepaid charging principles, prepaid network elements, network configuration and call flows
    • Interconnect - Key terminologies, overview of interconnect, interconnect call flows interconnect dispute resolution, etc.
    • Roaming - Key terminologies, overview of roaming, how roaming works, roaming risks, dispute resolution, etc.
    • VAS - Key terminologies, VAS product overview, VAS charging principles, etc.
  • Frauds in telecommunications
    • Types of fraud in telecommunications.
