Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Each year KPMG employees generously contribute thousands of shoeboxes (filled with toys) to the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. KPMG is one of the largest corporate contributors in Ireland to this appeal, and the fantastic results highlight the goodwill and exceptional generosity of our staff throughout the whole of Ireland. All business groups within KPMG, no matter how small or large, generously engage in this CSR activity. The volunteer coordinators from each business unit play a key role in encouraging their groups to participate in the activity and also ensuring all shoeboxes are delivered on time.

KPMG then funds €3 per shoebox collected, which goes towards the promotion, transport, processing and distribution of the boxes.

Team Hope is an International Christian relief and development agency, which started work in Ireland in 1998. Gifts are distributed to children in Romania, Belarus, Croatia, Ukraine, Serbia, Armenia, Nepal, Swaziland and Mozambique. Many of the children who receive a shoe box are in orphanages, street-kid shelters, hospitals or in families stuck in the poverty trap. For many of these children, their shoe box is the only present they will receive at Christmas.
