Registration 

The cost of registration for the KPMG Global Power & Utilities Conference 2014 is EUR 1,680 per person.
 
All conference fees displayed above are gross fees, 20% UK VAT is included.

The registration fee provides access to all conference activities, including the House of Parliament cocktail reception and the gala dinner.

 

Travel and accommodation costs are excluded from the registration fee.

 

A limited number of rooms are available at a preferential rate for conference delegates at the Park Plaza Riverbank. To take advantage of KPMG’s preferential room rate at the for the nights of 6 and 7 October please visit this site.

 

VAT

HMRC’s Overseas Repayment Unit deals with claims from EU businesses recovering UK VAT. In some instances it is possible for non-UK based delegates to reclaim VAT. Please see this HMRC link for more details: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/managing/international/index.htm.

 

Registration details

Delegates will receive a confirmation email with their registration details automatically after completing the online registration form for the conference.

 

Invoicing and payment

Following registration a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided during the registration process. This should be kept for reference purposes. If paying by bank transfer you will also receive a tax invoice within 5-10 working days of registration.

NOTE: Participants will only be admitted to the conference if full payment has been received prior to the event. If payment has not been received before 6 October 2014, upon arrival at the conference, you will be asked to provide payment by credit card in order to gain admittance. If paying by credit card at the point of registration a tax invoice will be sent to you within 5-10 working days of registration.

  

Cancellation policy

Please find below the cancellation policy for the conference. Cancellations can only be made via e-mail to gpc@kpmg.com.

  • Cancellation on or before 1 September 2014 – Full refund, excluding a EUR 250 administration charge
  • Cancellation between 2-14 September 2014 – 50% refund, excluding a EUR 250 administration charge
  • Cancellation after 14 September 2014 – No refund*

*If you cannot attend the conference, a substitute is welcome to attend at any time. In such case please contact the conference organizing team at gpc@kpmg.com prior the event.


United States continuing professional education (CPE) credits

The content of the KPMG Global Power & Utilities Conference 2014 may qualify for CPE credit.

 

KPMG is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) in the United States of America as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.

 

In order to be awarded CPE credits for this content you will be provided with a timed agenda and proof of your attendance which you will need to submit as External Learning. The program is worth approximately 8 credits, with 1 credit equating to 50 minutes of instructor-led training.

 

There are no prerequisites to attend the conference and no advanced preparation is required.

 

* The anticipated eligibility of a learning event and the estimated number of CPE credits are subject to change due to adjustments made to the Timed Agenda prior to and during the learning event. A
final timed agenda and course material are essential in determining if the content and topics covered qualify for CPE credits.

 

Force majeure

In case of force majeure KPMG is relieved of all obligations. Force majeure includes any circumstances beyond the will of KPMG, that impedes permanent or temporary compliance with the obligations, such as ‘acts of god’ including war, danger of war, government regulations, revolts, strikes, transportation difficulties, fire or severe disturbances affecting the conference organization or its supplies.
