Africa Tax Academy

It is now beyond doubt that Africa is on the verge of an economic revolution. The discovery of massive mineral deposits and a maturing market of a billion individuals are just two of the facts that begin to define the opportunities that abound in Africa. Revenue Authorities have not been left behind – they are keenly watching these developments.

Against this background, KPMG East Africa hosted the 2012 Africa Tax Academy in Kenya, bringing together more than 70 tax professionals from Across Africa to discuss emerging tax matters and opportunities ranging from inbound investment into Africa from China to structuring opportunities accorded by, say, Mauritius, a favourite hub for Pan-African investments.
