Caring about the communities in which we live
KPMG's Community Foundation in the Dutch Caribbean was founded on July 13, 2001, in order to foster community development within the Dutch Caribbean. Its objective is to organize social, scientific, educational and charitable activities, and to (financially) sustain activities organized by Dutch Caribbean & Surinam entities that are actively involved in community, educational, social or charitable work.
Besides financial support to social and especially educational projects, it is KPMG’s intention to offer knowledge and time. KPMG professionals will teach students, give professional advice to voluntary groups and help in the repair of school buildings and community centers.
According to KPMG in the Dutch Caribbean & Suriname our community urgently needs sustaining and contribution from the private sector. It’s clear that each of us, as an individual, an organization or a business has a special role in our relatively small community. Reestablishment of values, beliefs and upgrading of our knowledge is no longer solely a responsibility of our governments.
