Lehman Brothers Holding Incorporated filed for bankruptcy in the US courts on 15 September, 2008.
KPMG China partners Paul Brough, Edward Middleton and Patrick Cowley were appointed by the Hong Kong High Court as Provisional Liquidators of the eight Lehman HK Companies, on 17 and 19 September, 2008. In March 2009, the Provisional Liquidators were approved by the High Court to continue in office as Liquidators of the Hong Kong entities.

Extension of Time to Disclaim Onerous Contracts(September 2010) The LBCCAL and LBAL have obtained from the Hong Kong High Court an extension of time before which onerous contracts must be disclaimed. An extension until 16 September 2011 has been granted. Trust Assets Bar Date Notice(September 2010) The Companies acting by their respective Joint and Several Liquidators ("Liquidators") as agents without personal liability, request asset owners to file claims for their trust assets. The deadline to file these claims is December 10. |
