FATCA proposed regulations were issued on Wednesday 8th February 2012
On Tuesday 9 October, the Governments of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man announced their intention to negotiate "Model 1" inter-government agreements with the US in relation to FATCA. The agreements are expected to be similar to the agreement between the UK and the US that was signed on 12 September 2012. To access our press release on the announcement, please click here.
