Rico Camponovo is an Attorney-at-Law in the Zurich office.
He studied economics and law at the University of Zurich, from which he graduated in economics in 1984 and in law in 1986. He passed the bar exam in 1989.
Prior to joining KPMG in 1995, he worked as an auditor and legal counsel with former STG Coopers & Lybrand, he completed traineeships at the District Court of Zurich and with a law firm in Zurich and then worked as a legal counsel with BDO Visura in Zurich.
He advises CPA's on all kinds of legal issues arising from the audit-business. His key areas of experience are Swiss GAAP-Law, acceptance, duration and termination of audit mandates, reservations, manifestations and additions to audit reports, qualification, independence and liability of auditors, questions with regard to over-indebtedness (Art. 725 and 729b II CO) of clients, subordination, capital increase, waivers a.s.o., special reports and company law.
Rico is head of the Audit & Accounting Law Practice Group of KPMG.
