Dr. Armin Kühne is an attorney and partner in the Zurich office.
He is a graduate of the University of Fribourg and passed the bar exam in 1996.
Armin Kühne is specialised in providing legal advice and support on collective capital investments. He has acted for a large number of clients as their competent legal advisor in all areas of Collective Investment Schemes Law and Investment Management (conduct of numerous license applications for fund management companies, custodian banks, asset managers of collective investment schemes, representatives of foreign collective investment schemes, distributors, distribution licenses for Swiss and foreign investment funds (securities funds, other funds for traditional and alternative investments, real estate funds), drawing up and adaptation of regulatory documents for fund management companies, investment foundations, investment companies, in-house funds, restructuring of investment vehicles etc). Moreover, he has corresponding experience in the areas of banking supervision law, company and commercial law.
He published his doctorate on the subject “Licensing duties according to the Investment Fund Act” and is the main author of the publication “Law on collective investment schemes” as well as of further publications.
He is a lecturer for Collective Investment Schemes Law at the Fund Academy in Zurich, at the technical college of north west Switzerland (Law of Finance) and at the Hochschule Liechtenstein.
Further, Dr. Armin Kühne acts as a member of the expert committee "legal & compliance" of the Swiss Funds Association where legal issues regarding the Federal Act on Collective Capital Investments and its ordinances and other important legal matters with respect to investment funds are subject to discussion.
