Corporate Finance

As one of the world's leading deal advisers, KPMG provides a coordinated portfolio of Corporate Finance services, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity financing, and fairness opinions. Acting independently of financing sources, we provide clients with pure, objective advice, focusing on strategies that can help meet corporate objectives.

In our role as financial adviser, KPMG work on transactions undertaken in the world’s key markets for clients operating in every sector. We advise buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, and financial investors on:

  • Acquisitions, mergers, takeovers, and management buy-outs
  • Divestitures and carve-outs
  • Equity capital raising: placements and structuring advice
  • Debt capital raising: corporate, sovereign, project, and structured finance
  • Capital restructuring and sale and leaseback transactions
  • Joint ventures and transaction alliances.

How we help

Our advice takes many forms: from analyzing strategic options, to assessing value, structuring the deal, designing mechanisms for presenting the deal to the marketplace, managing the transaction process, and negotiating and securing favourable terms for a successful closing. We also furnish fairness opinions and other opinions for directors, investors, and regulators.

Our professionals’ advice is supported by:

  • A true understanding of the issues and challenges faced by our clients
  • Global execution capability
  • Connectivity with the financial markets
  • Deep sector knowledge
  • Negotiation prowess.

Global Reach

The global Corporate Finance team comprises more than 2,300 investment banking professionals working collaboratively from 100 offices in 60 countries across the globe.

Together, our firm’s Corporate Finance professionals have advised on or arranged billions of dollars of privately-arranged M&A transactions, sensitive equity and debt transactions, and other major transactions.

We do not participate in underwriting or lending activities. Our Corporate Finance professionals remain independent as to which type of transaction or financing approach you choose to meet your goals. We endeavour to ensure that our advice to you is free from conflict. We will always seek to develop a long-term relationship with you to help meet your needs beyond the immediate transaction.

How we define success
From raising or restructuring capital, to buying or selling a business, to making strategic and policy decisions based on value, KPMG will see things from your perspective, advocate for your position, challenge conventional wisdom, and employ creativity and skill in devising and executing a favourable approach. One of our key measures of success is the achievement of your goals.
