Minnie Chan
minnieee@gmail.com
Minnie started with KPMG in May with the US Corporate Tax Group. Having never taken a US Tax course before, Minnie did not know what to expect! Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to help so she learned a lot very quickly. Minnie’s second rotation was in FIRE. While here she got to travel to Montréal for one of her clients, giving her a taste of the many opportunities available within the firm.
Minnie’s favourite part of the summer was attending the various socials, volunteer events, and the Ultimate Frisbee competition with all the interns who she became great friends with.
Outside of work Minnie enjoys to cook, travel, and shop (the Bay Adelaide Centre is very close to the Eaton Centre, maybe a little TOO close)!

Katie started with KPMG in May 2011 with her first rotation in Community Leadership and second rotation in FIRE. She was the first intern to experience life in the Community Leadership department and thoroughly enjoyed brainstorming strategies with management and learning about sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, movies, team sports, running and spending time with friends and family.
Katie’s favourite part of the summer was the people she met. She enjoyed getting to know the other interns and staff members while participating in training, group events and socials.
Ali Lakhany
alilakhany@hotmail.com
Ali started with KPMG as a summer intern in the first week of May. After a week of training he entered into his first rotation – Financial Institutions (FI) Tax. It was a busy season so Ali was able to work on numerous clients, and being unfamiliar with this specialty, he was able to learn a great deal about tax. The most exciting thing about his work was the great people he worked with. Everyone was willing to answer questions or help with a task.
Outside of work, Ali loves travelling, politics, and meeting new people. He is also crazy about football (Premier League), tennis, watching movies, and playing cricket. Ali’s favourite memory at KPMG has to be all the socials that he went to, and his first time playing golf and basketball (after which he realized that both these sports are not his game).
Zach Witte

Zach joined KPMG in May of 2011 as part of the Financial Institutions and Real Estate (FIRE) group. He has enjoyed a variety of clients such as real estate trusts, insurance companies, mutual funds, and pension funds. His second rotation was in KPMG’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion group. Zach most enjoyed the variety of projects he got to work on over the summer. Outside of work Zach enjoys travelling, theatre, going to the lake and playing sports. A highlight of Zach’s summer was the annual Ultimate Frisbee tournament.
Zach’s favourite part of the summer was getting to know all of the interns by participating in the many socials, trainings, and volunteer events together. He’s looking forward to returning to KPMG next fall to see all the wonderful people he met during the summer.

Josh started at KPMG in May 2010 as a summer intern. He is currently doing his second summer internship in the Real Estate Tax group, and his next rotation will be in Consumer Markets.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys reading, and sports, particularly squash, golf and basketball. He is also an avid fan of various martial arts movies and competitions.
Josh’s favorite part of the summer internship is getting to know all the other interns from universities across Eastern Canada, whether if it’s through the many socials they have or during Ultimate Frisbee practice.
