Tanis began with KPMG this summer after finishing her Bachelor of Commerce at UBC, specializing in Finance. She started her internship in US Tax, and then experienced auditing a mining company during her second rotation in Industrial Markets. Tanis enjoys travelling as often as she can, and was able to spend a semester of her undergrad studying in Melbourne, Australia. She is looking forward to returning to UBC this fall to finish her accounting courses through UBC’s Diploma in Accounting Program.
Tanis’s favorite part of the summer was getting to know the other interns and KPMG staff through FAS’s, volunteer days, and watching Canuck’s playoff games.

Michael spent his summer working in KPMG’s Financial Institutions and Real Estate Services Audit group on a variety of investment management clients. He then did a second rotation with KPMG’s Indirect Tax group, which is responsible for helping clients recover overpayment on non-income (e.g. payroll and sales) taxes. Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing various sports competitively, including hockey and curling.
The highlight of Michael’s summer was spending time with the other interns at social and community events, including the World Partnership Walk and the Ultimate Frisbee tournament against interns from other firms in Vancouver.
