Mateja started with KPMG as a summer intern in the Information, Communications & Entertainment Audit group and then rotated into the Advisory team for his second placement. He thoroughly enjoyed the experiences he had in both rotations, and the diversity of the clients opened his eyes to the wide range of services that KPMG offers.
Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, volleyball, and pretty much any outdoor activity. Mateja lives and breathes summer, and views his perfect day as relaxing on the beach, soaking up the rays.
During the summer, he had a blast getting to know all of the interns and other KPMG employees. In a nutshell, an exciting work experience and a group of new amazing friends summarizes Mateja’s incredible summer; one that he will never forget.
Kevin Hu

Kevin started with KPMG Vancouver in May as a co-op student. He completed his first rotation in Corporate Tax and then moved to Audit – both within the Information, Communications & Entertainment group. Kevin also started CASB during his internship and received many hands on experiences where he could apply his skills and studies directly. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys travelling, dining out, and going out to the movies. Kevin has recently travelled to Japan, Egypt, Italy, Mexico and parts of the USA.
His favourite part of the summer was planning some of the summer events including the after tax party for his floor.
Alex Leung

During his summer co-op with KPMG, Alex had rotations in Audit and Non-Audit Services while working in KPMG’s Enterprise group in Burnaby. He worked with public sector and private clients, learning a great deal from such a diverse client portfolio.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys following the latest tech gadgets as well as watching the Vancouver Canucks. He aspires to travel and is planning to visit Europe in the near future.
Alex’s favorite parts of the summer were meeting the other interns and having fun with them at after-work socials. He especially enjoyed the Big 4 Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.
Kevin Malcolm

As a KPMG co-op student, Kevin spent his summer completing a rotation in the Audit and the Non-Audit Services Group in Burnaby. Kevin gained valuable experience throughout the summer from his engagement team members, his many mentors and his fellow interns.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys being active and playing sports including soccer, volleyball and basketball. In the winter Kevin can be found snowboarding on the local mountains and he loves mountain biking during the offseason.
Kevin’s favourite part of the summer was spending time with all the summer interns at the sports days, volunteer events and intern socials.
Ben McKay

Ben started with KPMG in June as a summer co-op student. He did his first rotation in Industrial Markets, where he worked on several mining clients. His second rotation was in Advisory. Ben enjoyed being part of the Social Committee where he helped organize fun events for his fellow summer interns. Ben’s interests outside of work include travelling and sports. Last summer he studied business in Vienna and backpacked throughout Europe. Ben enjoys playing soccer.
Ben’s favourite part of his summer work term was getting to know all of the great people who work at KPMG.
William Trudeau

William began with KPMG in the middle of May as a summer co-op in the Transactions and Restructuring branch of the Advisory group. He enjoyed working on a diverse group of clients in corporate finance and business valuations. William’s second rotation was in the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Services group, working primarily on two real estate clients. He also began module one for CASB and had amazing support from both his CASB mentor and peers. After work, William continued to prepare to play football on a five month exchange program in South Korea.
William’s favourite part of the summer was making great friends and having the opportunity to take part in various volunteering activities as a group. The atmosphere at KPMG made William feel absolutely at home and he could not imagine life without his fellow interns.
Fiona Xu

This summer, Fiona had the opportunity to work in both the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Services’ Tax and Audit practices. She particularly enjoyed working with her audit team while at a client site. Fiona is an enthusiastic skier and traveler, and loves to try new and different types of food. Fiona is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers weekly for the Big Sisters of BC on the Lower Mainland.
Fiona’s favourite memories of summer include getting to know all of the other summer interns and the Friday afternoon floor snack times.
