David Wood

David began as a summer intern at KPMG in 2011 with his first Audit rotation in the EMI group and his second rotation in US Corporate Tax. As an active member of the social committee, David is excited to help plan some great events for the summer interns over the summer! He is headed off on exchange to Brussels, Belgium for the fall term and is looking forward to travelling around Europe in the four months that he’s there.
David is thrilled to return to Queen’s University in January as a KPMG campus ambassador where he can share all the great experiences he’s had at KPMG and show others how KPMG can be their perfect fit too!
Kathryn Wizinsky

Kathryn began her internship in the Human Resources department which was a valuable opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of KPMG. She later transitioned to Audit for the Industrial Markets practice. Here, she saw different aspects of the industry by working a variety of clients. In her free time, Kathryn loves to travel, stay active, and cook. She recently returned from an exchange to Switzerland where she studied International Business and traveled all around Europe on weekends.
During the summer, Kathryn loved being part of the internship program. There was excellent work support along with fun social and volunteering events to bond with the awesome interns.
Rosemarie Bolton

Rosemarie started with KPMG Vernon at the beginning of May as a summer intern. She really enjoyed the wide variety of tasks she was assigned: she was able to participate in an audit, she completed numerous Notice to Reader financial statements, and finished many corporate tax returns.
Rosemarie’s favourite part about the summer was her colleagues. They were always friendly and willing to help with anything.
Jacob Martin
7jam19@queensu.ca

This was Jacob’s first summer at KPMG. His first rotation was in Global Audit Learning and Development where he worked on training modules for KPMG offices around the world. Jacob’s audit rotation was in the Energy, Mining, and Industrials (EMI) group where he focused mainly on mining clients. Jacob enjoys travelling and just completed an exchange term at the University of Edinburgh during which he explored many European countries. He is also a huge sports fan supporting the Philadelphia Eagles and Toronto Maple Leafs (for as long as it takes). Jacob will be entering his 4th year at Queen’s University in the fall.
Jacob’s favorite part of the summer was getting to know all of the other amazing interns inside and outside of a working environment.

Brad started with KPMG in the beginning of May as a summer intern in Auditing. He really enjoyed working with clients and meeting new people. Outside of work he enjoys travelling, going to his cottage, and playing sports; particularly hockey and golf. Brad looks forward to travelling during his upcoming 5-month exchange in the Netherlands.
Brad’s favourite part of the summer was getting out of the office and learning about businesses in the area, as well as getting to know his coworkers by participating in the many socials, trainings, and other work events.
Marshall Peacock
8omp@queensu.ca

This summer Marshal worked as an intern with KPMG’s Financial Institutes and Real Estate practice as well as doing a five week rotation in Event Management. During his summer, Marshal worked with two large construction and real estate companies in which he was able to gain firsthand experience in accounting and dealing with clients. Furthermore, he gained great insight into both industries and developed a strong sense on what the accounting profession holds in store. On a personal level, Marshal plays varsity soccer at Queen’s University and at a provincial level when at home in Toronto. When not on the field, he enjoys beaching, going out with friends and taking it easy.
Marshal’s favorite memories of the summer include going to Ottawa with interns for Canada Day, the big four Frisbee tournament, the intern training sessions and the FIRE social held on centre island.
