Scott Alves

This summer, Scott trained with KPMG’s Audit practice as well as with the Transactions & Restructuring department within the Advisory practice. Scott is currently studying at McGill University and has just completed his second year of his Bachelor of Commerce. Scott had just returned from a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida before starting his internship with KPMG. Florida is not the only place that Scott has travelled; he has also visited numerous regions in Europe and Africa. Outside of work, Scott enjoys both playing and watching sports, specifically hockey and soccer.

 

Michel-Olivier B Saucier

This summer, Michel-Olivier worked with KPMG’s Energy and Natural Resources practice. Michel-Olivier is a high level alpine skier who competed at an international level for a major part of his life before working at KPMG. His passion for alpine skiing brought him around the world in order to practice his sport. When not on the slopes shredding turns, Michel-Olivier enjoys playing various sports such as tennis, water skiing and road biking. Currently, Michel-Olivier is captain of the McGill ski team and is a member of the 2011 KPMG summer interns social committee.

Carrie started with KPMG in early May as a summer intern in the Enterprise Audit group, where she had the great opportunity to work with a variety of clients from different industries. Her second rotation was in Talent Attraction, which gave her a taste of the firm outside of its Audit practice. Outside of KPMG, Carrie enjoys travelling, baking and shopping. She is also a big fan of the Food Network, and loves to explore different restaurants around the city.

 

Carrie’s favourite part of the summer was the after work socials. They were always fun to attend, and offered the perfect opportunity for her to meet and get to know her fellow summer interns, along with many other KPMG employees in a casual and fun setting!

 

Anthony Karaganis

Anthony currently studies at McGill University and was recruited by KPMG as an intern for the summer of 2011. Throughout his internship, Anthony worked within KPMG’s Corporate Tax practice, which was an exciting experience that helped fine-tune his classroom skills. The internship was filled with many interesting events and activities that helped build the team spirit. When not working or studying, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking and canoeing.

 

Fiona Leclerc

This summer, Fiona trained with KPMG’s Audit team. More specifically, she worked in the Forensics group within the Risks, Performance, Technology & Conformity practice. Fiona had just returned from a student exchange in France before beginning her internship with KPMG. She spent four months on the Côte d’Azur, travelling all around Europe on her weekends. The countries she visited included Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy and Spain. During her summer, Fiona also trained and partook in the Spartan Race, held yearly in Mont-Tremblant. It was both physically and mentally challenging. She enjoys playing various sports such as soccer and tennis, and she is also an avid runner.

 

Amanda Palombaro

As a summer intern in 2011, Amanda worked in KPMG’S Audit practice. Her summer internship gave her the opportunity to begin her career in her chosen field and build a sound personal and professional network. In her spare time, Amanda plays recreational soccer and hockey, reads and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her plans for the remainder of the summer include a family vacation in Italy. Her most enjoyable experiences during the internship were meeting and spending time with her fellow interns as well as getting to know the wonderful KPMG employees.

Natasha Petriello joined KPMG as a summer intern in the Audit practice. Natasha attends McGill University and just completed her second year of studies. She plans on starting CA school next May. Outside of work, Natasha enjoys watching and participating in sports, in particular soccer and taekwondo. She is currently training hard to obtain her third degree black belt.

Dylan joined the KPMG team as a summer intern in 2011 after completing his second year at McGill University. This past summer, he gained valuable experience within the Audit practice, which allowed him to learn new skills and knowledge in a real life setting. KPMG’s emphasis on a work-life balance made the summer both rewarding and fun. Outside of work and school, Dylan enjoys working out, practicing yoga and playing golf, and plans to travel around Costa Rica at the end of the summer.

As a summer intern in 2011, Jessica worked in KPMG’s Audit practice. Jessica’s internship gave her the opportunity to expand her networks, in addition to commence and build her professional career. When she is not studying at McGill University, she practices with her dance company, participates in various fundraisers, and works part-time at Sports Experts. Outside of work, Jessica also loves to travel, ski, and get involved in the McGill community. Jessica’s summer stage enabled her to meet and work with a fantastic group of interns, as well as the great KPMG team. Jessica’s experience at the firm was both interesting and fun, and she looks forward to starting full-time at KPMG.

Maryland has had a great summer working as an intern in KPMG’s Audit practice. She found it a great place to start off her professional career. During her time at KPMG, she enjoyed the challenge of having a wide array of different clients and meeting a lot of interesting people. When she is not working or studying at McGill University, Maryland enjoys dancing salsa, playing sports and trying new restaurants. Maryland’s favourite memories are from the activities she participated in with her fellow interns. She had the most fun competing in a scavenger hunt around downtown with her team and helping out with the summer yearbook. She enjoyed being part of the team and learned a lot from her summer experience.

Lorne began working at KPMG during the summer of 2011 as an intern in the Audit practice. He will be completing his Bachelor’s program at McGill University during the winter of 2012. While not at work, Lorne enjoys playing tennis and practicing his golf. His experience so far has given him the opportunity to network with various professionals in the business industry and has been a great stepping stone towards his professional career.
