HEC Montréal

Marie-Ève Audette
marie-eve.audette@hec.ca

A KPMG Campus Ambassador since May, Marie-Ève had no trouble deciding where to begin her professional career. It was important for her to join a firm that shows it believes in recruits right from the start by doing everything it can to fully develop and make use of their potential, and offers a pleasant work environment where excellent interpersonal relations are a given. This is exactly what she got at KPMG, and the fact that she was given the opportunity to work in the Indirect Tax practice over the summer proves it. When she isn't studying at HEC Montréal, Marie-Ève is a true sports enthusiast. The team sports she plays include softball, baseball, basketball and hockey, and she also likes skiing and snowboarding.

Tanya Brunet

A student at HEC Montréal, Tanya was hired by the KPMG team in the fall 2010 campus recruitment campaign. Since starting she has been assigned to audit duties at KPMG Enterprise and has had the opportunity to work in various cities throughout Québec. The experience has given her a chance to meet people who are passionate about their work and to make new friends. Outside of the office, Tanya is actively involved in a number of voluntary effortsvolunteer activities. The KPMG Volunteers program has given her a way to help her community by supporting causes and organizations that she believes in.

Véronique D'Souza
veronique.dsouza@hec.ca

Véronique is a student at HEC Montréal and had the chance to take part in the KPMG summer internship program. She chose the firm because at each stage in the recruitment process she was struck by the professionalism, mutual support and energy shown by the KPMG team members. Véronique is a determined individual and loves to learn, so her interest was sparked by the numerous learning and development opportunities offered internally at KPMG, along with the possibility of working overseas. In her free time she likes reading and swimming and she loves spending time with family and friends.

Philippe Fournier Bélanger
philippe.fournier-belanger@hec.ca

Philippe is a student at HEC Montréal. In May 2011 he made his first foray into the accounting profession as a KPMG summer intern. As he sees it, the work environment and the friendliness of the firm's professionals immediately created the right atmosphere for developing the talents of each new recruit. It is precisely this ability KPMG has to bring people together that encouraged Philippe to choose the firm. Originally from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, he was somewhat hesitant to join such a large organization. But soon after starting with the firm, he realized that his apprehensions were unfounded, since everyone at KPMG gets lots of attention and support.

Pascal Gardner
pascalgardner@hotmail.com

Pascal is a student at HEC Montréal and worked at KPMG as an intern during the summer of 2011 after completing a student exchange program in Europe. He decided to start his career at KPMG because of the excellence of its professionals and the many opportunities the firm offers its employees. He was assigned to U.S. Tax, which is his ongoing field of study. He loves to travel and hopes to participate in the KPMG Global Opportunities program.

Adrien Garneau-Rémillard
adrien.garneau-remillard@hec.ca

Adrien is a student at HEC Montréal and was recruited in the fall of 2010, just before he left for one term of study in Singapore as part of a student exchange. In the summer of 2011 he interned in both the Audit practice and the Research and Development department. Working as an intern at KPMG with a dynamic team that really listens to its members was a great way to learn more about the public accounting profession. It was also a chance to meet several experienced professionals who were willing to share their knowledge. Originally from Gatineau, Adrien really loves the pace of city life in Montréal, although this doesn't keep him from putting a lot of effort into his studies. In his spare time he likes cycling, skiing and travelling and loves spending time with friends and family.

Marie-France Lafortune
mariefrance_lafortune@hotmail.com

After completing her second year of study at HEC Montréal in May 2011, Marie-France joined the KPMG team as a summer intern. Right from the start, the firm's professionals gave her all the help she needed to transition smoothly from coursework to her job assignments. The assignments gave her a chance to travel all over Québec and meet interesting people. In addition to administration and accounting, Marie-France loves dance, especially contemporary dance and jazz.

Marc-Antoine Lanthier Paquin
marc-antoine.lanthier-paquin@hec.ca

To advance his accounting career, Marc-Antoine joined KPMG as an intern in the summer of 2011. During the recruitment process and the various activities organized by the firm, Marc-Antoine was won over by the motivation, integrity, professionalism and international outlook of the professionals at KPMG. He was drawn to city life while growing up in the Laurentian Mountains, and working in the very heart of Montréal at KPMG allowed him to more easily explore one of his great passions: fashion. A student at HEC Montréal, Marc-Antoine is cheerful and loves to joke around, but on the job he is dedicated and diligent. He also never misses a chance to keep in shape, especially by running. By the way, he says you can catch up with him at the Marathon de Montréal. And if you prefer catching up on the latest Hollywood gossip, he's always up for it!
