Adam Weiss

This past busy season Adam worked with KPMG’s Consumer Markets practice. Adam worked 8 months starting in September which constituted 2 co-op work terms. Adam has worked a total of 3 work terms at KPMG. Adam’s first work term was from January to April 2010 also in the Consumer Markets practice. Outside of work Adam enjoys hanging out with friends and playing sports. His favourite sport to play is golf.

Adam’s favourite memory from working at KPMG is meeting tons of great people and travelling to Chicago to work on a client.

Brian J. Armstrong

Brian worked in the Financial Institutions and Real Estate group from January to April 2011. He was in the Audit/Tax rotation program, where he spent two months on an audit engagement with Four Seasons Hotels Ltd. He then spent the remaining two months doing personal income tax returns for the IES tax group. Outside of work, Brian enjoys listening to classic and alternative rock music, playing the bass guitar as well as sailing and waterskiing up at his parent’s cottage. He is also an active Cross Country runner and Nordic skier.

Brian’s favorite memory from his first work term is going bowling with a few of his colleagues after work one day.

Vivien Chan
vc08tu@brocku.ca

Through the Brock University’s Co-op Program, Vivien joined KPMG in 2009 and have since the opportunity to work with people from the Energy, Mining and Industrial Services team. In addition to participating in rotation with the International Executive Services group.  Aside from work Vivien enjoys volunteering with charities, participating in sport events and travelling around the world.  Recently, she had travelled to Phoenix, Arizona and experienced firsthand the scorching heat of the desert sun.

My favorite memory of KPMG is getting to know all the new interns and co-ops through workshops and charity events.

Alice Choi
ac07ez@brocku.ca

Alice started with KPMG in January 2009 for her co-op work term and over the course of her time at KPMG, she’s worked in both the Audit and Tax Practices. She has worked in Energy, Mining and Industrials Audit Group and she has also rotated into the International Executive Services Tax Group and Consumer Markets Tax Group. Alice had the opportunity to travel to many locations and had the pleasure to work with a diverse range of clients from restaurants to junior mining companies. When she is not working or going to school, she enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. However, her favourite way to unwind is to spend sunny afternoons with her dog.

Alice’s favourite memory with KPMG is her performance of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” at EMI’s Rookie Night.

Huzaifa Faizan
hf09jq@brocku.ca

This busy season, Huzaifa did his first co-op term in the Audit-Tax rotational program with KPMG’s Energy, Mining, and Industrial (EMI) audit group, and International Executive Services (IES) tax group. Huzaifa enjoys playing many sports, and had the opportunity to represent KPMG in a cricket tournament with the other Big Four. Huzaifa loves languages, and has been to four continents (just a few more to go!).

Huzaifa’s had many favorite memories from his co-op term from meeting the amazing people at KPMG, to working on an audit client going public, to working on the unique puzzles that are called tax returns.
