Corporate Citizenship

Commitment to our communities is at the heart of KPMG’s values. Around the world, KPMG member firms are working with other companies, governments and non-government organizations (NGOs) to address poverty and make a positive difference in the environment.
About - Corporate Citizenship
We want to put our skills into practice, for the benefit of the communities in which we operate. We understand that citizenship is the part of our strategy that shapes our values, which influences our choices and that strengthens the bonds that we have with all the audiences with whom we interact.

Our pillars of action

At KPMG, we commit ourselves through our values and our brand to support the communities in which we work, seeking both nationally and internationally the capability to achieve our goals of Corporate Citizenship. We are determined to act as responsible corporate citizens: for this we bring our skills and our resources, and we are becoming increasingly strategic in our work of Corporate Citizenship. We want KPMG to be a company known for:

  • Establishing a reference for citizenship.
  • Inspiring its professionals to think innovatively and to be committed to the significant issues of the local community, as leaders, volunteers and supporters.
  • Encouraging its employees to participate in the solutions to major issues faced by the world.
  • Acting collaboratively with community groups. That means, increasingly, going beyond good governance, compliance, ethical conduct and philanthropy, it means being committed to other groups in society, in order to combat global environmental and social problems.

There are some issues that unite KPMG with the world, and that provide the pillars of Corporate Citizenship for each of our member firms. These are:

Education

Education

We sponsor programs which strengthen children and teenager skills and potential by means of close cooperation between education institutions, business sector and the local community. The main projects we sponsor are: Little Citizen (Pequeno Cidadão), Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and Junior Achievement Brazil.

Environment

Environment

KPMG in Brazil will be environmentally responsible and will focus on broad awareness of its personnel, its clients and suppliers, in addition to the continuous improvement of its practices and business processes.

Development

Development

KPMG in Brazil provides audit and advisory services to companies from the Third Sector in return for non-pecuniary compensation (pro bono). Such support enables us to put into practice the mission of transforming knowledge into value, in the communities’ spheres.
