Sheel has 19 years of financial and accounting experience, having qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant in 1996. Over the last 14 years, she has been a trusted advisor, having been responsible for over a 100 transactions, to a diverse portfolio of clients in Kenya, UK and Germany. She has experience of leading some of the largest acquisitions, vendor and refinancing projects, due diligences and demergers for Private Equity clients.  She has an unrivalled track record of undertaking and successfully closing out transactions.  She focuses on the issues that impact on value and will provide advice based on evidence and observations.



Having worked in Kenya previously, she provides the local insights that are pertinent to foreign direct investors.  A cross section of her clients is listed below.  Her PE and DFI clients in Kenya include Fanisi, Emerging Capital Partners, Richard Chandler Corporation, Jacana, Ethos, Orsus Africa, Investec, East African Development Bank, DEG to name a few.


In Germany Sheel’s clients comprised CVC, 3i, Goldman Sachs PIA, ista, Siemens, Max Bahr, BP, Sasol, KNM Berhad Group, Arcandor, Messer Group. She was responsible for leading a number of buy-side and sell-side transactions and refinancing projects for these clients.  For was a preferred supplier for CVC in Germany – she led on the successful disposal of ista (Euro 2.3bn) and acquisition of Dwidag (Euro 1.2bn).


Sheel’s major transaction projects in London include acquisition of Countryside by Oaktree, the demerger of National Power, bid defense work for British Gas, vendor due diligence on NHS property portfolio, vendor due diligence on English, Welsh & Scottish freight company, acquisition due diligence (including funds flow) for Morley Fund Management on its acquisition of Global Switch plc.


Sheel’s major audit clients in Manchester were: Shell Information Services, Shell Chemicals, Solvay Chemicals, Burtonwood Brewery, EMAP radio, Edbro plc. She also led special projects such as carve-out of Shell’s versatics business, refinancing of Stanley Leisure, acquisition due diligence on Quicks car dealership.


In Kenya her previous clients includes Nestle, Smithkline Beecham, Otis, Ayrton, Young & Rubicam, Block Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, Windsor Group, Flamingo Tours and Travel, Abercrombie & Kent, ILRAD (non-governmental agency). She was also heavily involved in investigations in Kenya.
