Dapo is Partner & Africa Head of Transaction Advisory including Corporate Finance, Transaction Services and Corporate Restructuring. Dapo leads the Africa teams in East, West, South and Franco-phone Africa to provide high quality financial advisory services in M&A, Divestitures, Private Equity & Joint Ventures on local & cross-border deals within Africa and in-bound investments into Africa through leveraging on KPMG's deep local knowledge and insights in over 33 African countries for deal origination. His key competences are in market entry strategy, acquisition strategy, business case evaluation, due diligence, carve-outs, business valuation, deal structuring, deal management & execution.
He has advised on several M&A & disposal transactions in many African countries. With over 22 years of experience, Dapo’s Private Equity advisory experience spans deal sourcing & origination, commercial & market analysis, due diligence, investment appraisal, LBO modelling, valuation / fairness opinion, structuring and execution.
He is a recognised expert on PE in Africa and has advised several PE firms including but not limited to Carlyle, Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), African Capital Alliance (ACA), Helios Investment Partners (HIP), Abraaj Group, Actis Capital LLP, EFG Hermes, LeapFrog Investments Limited, Vine Capital Partners, Kingdom Zephyr, Development Partners International (DPI), Vectis Capital, Verod Capital Management, etc.
He has published several articles, a regular presenter at CNBC Africa and many conferences & a Lead Facilitator at many internal & external courses.
Dapo holds a Bachelors degree from OAU, Nigeria & as a Chevening Scholar, holds a Master of Finance degree in the UK, with Distinction. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants & the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is a KPMG Global-accredited specialist in Corporate Finance, Business Valuation and Transaction Services and an alumnus of Lagos Business School, GIBS SA, INSEAD & London Business School.
