Benson Mwesigwa

Benson is a Senior Manager in the Office of the Africa Leadership Team. This includes management in all areas of staffing and personnel, administration, project implementation and completion, information technology and development.

He is in charge of KPMG’s “Project Africa, this has included establishing business cases and strategies for all Project Africa expenditure and making formal recommendations to the COO and Chairman in respect of thereof.

In his current role Benson coordinates and manages client engagements across Africa. He is actually the single point of contact for several multi-national clients in Africa.

Further, Benson takes the responsibility to develop and execute the KPMG Africa Strategy. He works continuously with the African practices to strengthen the KPMG Network in less developed African areas to ensure KPMG quality across the entire African continent.

He is a member of the Global Africa Practice market entry team whose focus is primarily market entry strategy/option assessment. He is also responsible for thought leadership, liaison with global clients on in-bound investments into Africa and multinationals on cross boarder deals.

He has devised and driven specific Africa strategy sessions, training, communication opportunities, and client seminars, in line with strategic client/industry plans.

Prior to this role, Benson was part of a team of KPMG Managers offering technical assistance to the Office of the Auditor General of Rwanda.
