Global Mobility Forum 

GLOBAL FORUMS and KPMG are pleased to invite you to the 5th annual Global Mobility Forum (GMF) – taking Scandinavia’s largest meeting place for Global Mobility Professionals to a new level. This year you can join the physical Forum at KPMG’s offices in both Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen for parallel and connected seminars on April 5th or you can join the event Online on April 8th from anywhere in the world.
The program includes:

  • Meet Professor Emeritus Paul Evans from INSEAD and hear his thoughts on What Scandinavian countries can learn from each other when it comes to global talent attraction and retention.
  • Hear Country Managers of Adecco: Torben Sneve (Norway) and Mickey Maymann (Denmark) discuss The similarities and differences of the Scandinavian labour markets in regards to professional work immigration.
  • Learn from KPMG's Global Mobility Partners: Cathrine Dalheim (Oslo), Katrin Fahlgren (Stockholm) and Fredrik Lundgren (Copenhagen), How some of the world’s leading employers work to cut global mobility costs.
  • We’ll present you with a brand new report from Kulturtolk/EGN on The value of Expat Managers to organizations – How it is perceived by the locals.
  • GMF 2016 is opened by State Secretary Tone Skogen from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Global Talent Week is opened by Minister of EEA and EU Affairs, Elisabeth Aspaker.

You can also take part in local sessions with a local content for Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. The local seminars include best practice for outsourcing / shared services, the future of global mobility and cultural differences in Scandinavia.

Culture and bottom line are connected – why we should get to know each other – The Scandinavian countries have a lot in common – and many corporations established because of anticipated synergies. We seem like a very homogeneous group, but tend to forget that culture is the software of the mind – and sometimes a minefield. Kirsten Weiss is a journalist and consultant, specialized in leadership, management and cross cultural team work in the Nordics. She is the author of the book titled “When Vikings fight" and will share her insights on the topic.
