First and foremost, we extend our deepest condolences to the Mandela family. We also join our fellow South Africans, African neighbours and indeed the entire global community in mourning the loss of this great man who embodied grace, humility and peace, representing the triumph of dignity, hope and love over despair.
But, more than this, we celebrate the most extraordinary life – and commit to playing our part in keeping his vision alive and continuing his legacy. The greatest way that we can honour Tata, as he affectionately became known, is to work together in continuing to build our nation as a beacon of hope for all the world. This is up to all of us.
The artwork used above is from an original portrait painted in oils by our own Alfred Hilton (Designer, Marketing & Communications). It reflects the energy and sparkle of Madiba, at this time poignantly beckoning us to continue the journey towards a state of grace and dignity for all.
Thank you / Siyabonga, Tata!
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela
