As proud South Africans, every one of us has played a part in ensuring this success - centred on the millions of ordinary people who have welcomed the world, waved our flag high and shown what it means to be South African.
From one South African to the next, we believe that there’s a special vote of thanks necessary to the unsung heroes of this tournament - the medical personnel, South African Police officers, Metro police officers, members of the judiciary, many other public servants and volunteers.
KPMG will be hosting a panel discussion – as part of our KPMG Conversations series – to share insights, discuss lessons learnt and identify future opportunities arising from the World Cup. This discussion will nurture a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities.
An outstanding panel consisting of key stakeholders from the Local Organising Committee, International Marketing Council and prominent infrastructure and economic experts among others, will unpack what the World Cup has meant for the country, and the continent at large, and what legacy it will leave.
