Irma became a Director in 1990. She started her articles with Andersen in 1981. She returned to Andersen and joined KPMG with the merger of the firms in 2002. She has had extensive experience in the financial services and hospitality industries.
Irma has been involved with running of risk assessment workshop for internal audit and other clients since 1996. She has also assisted the clients in setting up and running of the risk management Department. She has done quality assurance reviews on existing risk management Departments.
Irma has been involved in internal audit transformation projects where the in-house internal audit department has been reviewed for effectiveness and efficiency. This has included the rewriting of methodology and development of risk-based internal audit plans.
Irma led the international team for KPMG to refresh the internal audit methodology for global use and roll-out.
