Overview
As one of the leading professional service firms in Vietnam, we believe that we have a responsibility to continue to assist talented students in order to develop the future business leaders of tomorrow. We endeavour to achieve excellence through our KPMG Excellence Scholarship; to be part of a student’s success, enhancing their potential and helping them to go beyond their expectations.
The KPMG Excellence Scholarship is aimed at supporting high-performing students who want to build their careers with one of the leading professional services firms in the world. At the same time, the scholarship programme reaffirms KPMG’s commitment to contribute to the development of human resources in Vietnam.
In total, 30 Scholarships will be awarded to students of local universities in 2012. Third year students who are entering their final year of study and graduating in 2013 will be eligible to apply for the scholarships, each of which is valued at $500 USD. The scholarship is designed to support part of the cost of tuition, textbooks, and other incidentals pertaining to a student’s academic life. More importantly, scholarship recipients will also be given the opportunity to participate in KPMG’s market-leading internship programme, and assume full-time work responsibilities with KPMG Vietnam upon graduation.

The requirements
- Be a Vietnamese student, currently at 3rd year of study and about to embark on the final year of study and graduate in 2013 in any one of the following majors: Auditing & Accounting, Economics, Banking, Finance, Commerce, Law, Business Administration and Foreign Trade
- Be a self-motivated achiever with a consistent and strong academic track record of excellence
- Be actively involved and devoted in extra-curricular activities either in school or in the community
- Be an excellent communicator who demonstrates a high degree of initiative, maturity and enthusiasm
- Be self-confident and have the determination to succeed
The benefits
Apart from the financial benefits ($500 USD) that come with each scholarship, each scholarship recipient will also have:
- The opportunity to participate in KPMG’s market leading Internship Programme, which provides students with an intensive 3 month work experience in either Audit or Tax
- Have opportunities to work with KPMG as a full time employee after graduation

How to apply
To be considered for a scholarship, interested students should complete the KPMG Excellence Scholarship Programme Online Registration and follow the below steps:
- Step 1: access the link
- Step 2: fill in your personal information on the online form
- Step 3: attach a video cv introducing yourself
- Step 4: click on “submit” button at the end of the form
Criteria for the video cv
- Your video cv must be completed in English
- Your video cv should be a brief introduction about yourself to KPMG. In particular we want to know how you have used your time and talents to give back to your school and/or your community
- The length of your video cv must not exceed 5 minutes
- Your video cv must be in wmv or avi format and the file must not exceed 100MB
Programme timeline
- 5 Feb 2012: applications open
- 24 March 2012: application deadline
- 24 March 2012 to 31 March 2012: screening process and interview
- 10 April – 22 April 2012: announcement of Scholarship recipients
